This year the Freedom Run will benefit the 'Wounded Warrior Project", an organization that provides tangible comfort and support to severely injured service members. The WWP helps bring a message of hope to our troops in need, letting them know that we have not forgotten their sacrifices. We will be raising money by selling event shirts. Registration starts at 9 am at the Hackensack Courthouse. Departure time is 10:30 am sharp! The run is police-escorted over the GWB, past Ground Zero, then through the Holland Tunnel to Liberty State Park. A ceremony will be held at LSP, followed by a FREE BBQ and music. Info: The prime goal of this Run is to help Russian-speaking motorcycle enthusiasts of Tri-State Area find each other. The Run will start on May 6th, 2007 at 9 AM from Stateline Lookout Rest Area between exits 2 and 3 of the Palisades Interstate Parkway in New Jersey, go to Bear Mountain State Park and then to restaurant (TBD) for lunch. The Run is free, but registration is required by sending your name, city you live in, make and model of your motorcycle, number of riders and any questions to contact email with "Siberian Express Motorcycle Ride" in subject line. All makes and models are invited. The Ride is open to all, but the majority of participants will be Russian-speaking riders. Members of the B.E.A.R. Riding Club will be on hand to provide information about this NJ-based Russian-speaking motorcycle club.

Ride for the Red Shield

Info: The event will start and finish at The Salvation Army’s Camp Tecumseh at 445 Mechlin Corner Rd. in Pittstown, NJ. Sign in will be from 9am to 11am and donuts and coffee will be served. At the end of the ride there will be a pig roast/BBQ, entertainment, prizes and other activities. The cost will be $25 per rider and $10 for passengers and walk-ins.
